GREEN & POND
This is, in my opinion, along with the Church, the feature area of the village and a great place for taking photographs. For many years it has been a place for youngsters to learn how to fish, and take an interest in wildlife. Unfortunately, in recent times, more “professional” fisherman have tended to want to fish here, at least until the large fish were removed.
The Green has been a traditional place for walking and playing
family type games, and occasionally a small Circus visits for three days - see separate section for photographs. For the visitor, the
junction of five roads in one place needs careful driving
SPRING
Spring has come extremely early this year (2005), with Snowdrops and daffodils in abundance. The first daffodils wer blooming on January 13th in Barnham Lane, the earliest I have ever known. Many of the banks and hedgerows in local lanes are showing signs of life and several trees are already in bloom
MISCELLANEOUS
These are just photographs that I particularly enjoy, but do not fall into any category. Most of them will be fairly recent.
