CATEGORIES

From time to time I will add categories as I “dig” out more photographs from my collections.  Sometimes they will feature village
people, but if anyone objects to their likeness being shown, they can e-mail me on “mail@walberton.info” and I will remove it.  People will not be identified individually, unless they have agreed or requested it..

CHURCH

As with many villagers, I have often walked the footpath through the churchyard, and have frequently taken photographs of our very attractive Church.  Details of the Church are well documented elsewhere, so, in the main, I will leave that to others.

However, one interesting subject of discussion was the increasing numbers of holes appearing in the shuttering of the steeple.  Who is the culprit?  I have seen Squirrels entering through the holes and also Wasps or Hornets, but did they do it?  Others have blamed Woodpeckers, who are often clearly heard in the neighbourhood in spring.  Some are even blaming the Bats in the belfry.  I wonder, who is the guilty party? With repairs now ongoing all will no doubt be revealed, but whoever used it as a home, will soon be hunting for a new place to live, or boring holes again!
